[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Del 25 de abril al 8 de mayo de 2026, nuestra Career and University Counselor, Mrs. Deisy Nieto, participó en la Gira Global de Consejeros de KIC UnivAssist, recorriendo seis estados de Estados Unidos con el propósito de profundizar en el conocimiento del sistema universitario estadounidense, sus procesos de admisión y la propuesta académica de diferentes instituciones.
Durante la gira, tuvo la oportunidad de explorar las rutas de transferencia académica en Irvine Valley College y Pasadena City College, así como obtener una visión integral de los procesos de admisión y transferencia dentro del sistema educativo estadounidense en instituciones como la Harvard Graduate School of Education. Esta experiencia permitió evidenciar cómo, incluso en universidades altamente selectivas, existen diversos caminos y oportunidades académicas para los estudiantes.
Asimismo, visitó instituciones como San Diego State University, University of San Diego, University of Oklahoma, UMass Boston, Fisher College, University of Connecticut, Stony Brook University, Pace University, Fordham University, William Paterson University of New Jersey, Montclair State University y Loyola Marymount University.
Tanto los community colleges como las universidades compartieron valiosas perspectivas sobre apoyo estudiantil, empleabilidad, internacionalización y acompañamiento a estudiantes internacionales. Cada visita representó una enriquecedora oportunidad de aprendizaje para continuar fortaleciendo los procesos de orientación universitaria de nuestros estudiantes.

Learning and International Connection in the American University System
From April 25 to May 8, 2026, our Career and University Counselor, Mrs. Deisy Nieto, participated in the KIC UnivAssist Global Counselor Tour, traveling across six states in the United States to gain firsthand insight into the American higher education system, its admission processes, and the academic offerings of various institutions.
During the tour, she had the opportunity to explore academic transfer pathways at Irvine Valley College and Pasadena City College, as well as develop a broader understanding of admission and transfer processes within the U.S. educational system at institutions such as the Harvard Graduate School of Education. This experience provided valuable insight into how, even within highly selective universities, there are multiple academic pathways and opportunities available for students.
She also visited institutions including San Diego State University, University of San Diego, University of Oklahoma, UMass Boston, Fisher College, University of Connecticut, Stony Brook University, Pace University, Fordham University, William Paterson University of New Jersey, Montclair State University, and Loyola Marymount University.
Both the community colleges and universities shared valuable perspectives on student support, employability, internationalization, and support for international students.
